“Give what is inside you. But not as it applies to you. Give it as it applies to the other.” - Krishnamacharya

Emily Anne - Founder & Visionary

Emily started Sun & Sol in 2021 with a vision to connect the Folly Beach community. She spent the next 2 years bringing warmth, compassion, and tranquility to the island through her classes and presence. Although she has since relocated to Savannah Georgia, we will always honor the gift she left and strive to bring the same light to the community.

“Sun & Sol is the vessel that I am using to share my passion with others. I hope to inspire my clients to slow down and live a life more connected to themselves and in balance with their surroundings by teaching them the practices of yoga.”- Emily

Kassidy Adams

Owner & Instructor

I’m Kass, a 200 YTT instructor, and a licensed massage therapist. My yoga journey started in 2015 when I was living back home in New Hampshire, searching for a sense of direction in life. The first time I stepped onto the mat, I was vulnerable and uncomfortable, but after 60 minutes I left feeling more at peace than I had ever experienced. Yoga practice brought me a sense of community, connection to self, and it sent me down a path of discovery and healing.

In 2019 I moved to Charleston, SC and fell in love with the local community. Whether it was witnessing the most incredible sunset, a pod of dolphins breaching, or taking a deep breath of salty air, Sun & Sol always delivered exactly what I needed. Naturally, when Emily reached out asking if I would adopt Sun & Sol yoga, it was a no brainer, my entire heart said yes.

My hope for our future is to build on the foundation that was created in 2021, a home for individuals to slow down, and connect with themselves.

See you on the mat.

Love, Kass

Lauren Linton - Instructor

Lauren joined our team mid season and is an experienced 200 hour YTT Instructor. She completed her undergrad degree at Clemson University, where she taught yoga for 3 years. She is a light to be around and has been an amazing addition to Sun and Sol.

“I have been teaching yoga for about 3 years now. I have taught a wide range of people as well as a wide range of modalities within yoga. Whether you are young, old, a seasoned yogi, or a complete beginner to this practice, all are welcome and treated as the beautiful being you are! I believe that yoga is a way of life, and that the physical practice or “asana” that we often talk about in the fitness industry only scratches the surface at the life lessons and applications that we can find from this beautiful ancient practice. Yoga is a way of life— and I can’t wait to share it with you!” -Lauren

Alex Hubbell - Instructor

Alex joined our team in 2022. Her unique ability to curate artful transitions that feel challenging, yet restorative at the same time, will leave you feeling both energized and peaceful after class.

“My name is Alex, and I've been practicing yoga since my mom got me the Gaiam Yoga Kids VHS when I was 4 years old. That first downward facing dog in my childhood home led to a lifelong love of the practice, and when I moved to Charleston I finally got my 200 hour teaching certification. I believe in the holistic meaning of yoga--which translated means "to yoke" or "to unite"--and that every time we practice it is an opportunity to move not only the body, but the soul and the mind in unison. I've taught a variety of people, from young to old, beginner to advanced, and all levels and bodies are welcome and encouraged in my classes. I cannot wait to flow with you at this beautiful sunset studio!” -Alex

Abby Chernin- Instructor

Welcoming Abby to our team spring 2023.

Abby is a yoga teacher with a deep-rooted passion for sharing both the joy and the transformative power of yoga. Abby has been an athlete since she was a child, but her yoga journey felt different. Yoga was not just exercise but a journey of self-discovery. She began leading pop-up yoga workshops and classes in her freshman year of college, which eventually led her to earn her 200-hour teaching certificate from Kripalu School of Yoga and Ayurveda. With a deep understanding of neuroscience, philosophy, anatomy and physiology, Abby has gained a unique perspective on the nature of yogic living and practice. In her classes, she merges movement, breath, and holds to create a positive, mindful flow that will guide you on your own journey of self-discovery.

Abbys soothing voice and sequencing will leave you feeling relaxed yet strong. Join her every Monday evening !
